You might want to be careful about not creating extra support issues with this. Port 80 is pretty much the universally accepted indicator of "Internet Access". To expect users to have access to port 3306 or even be aware that its possibly blocked by their IT department can be a source of confusion.

Keep in mind that RevZilla started over two years ago, and at its beginning it just did simple "new bug" posting, and it's evolved ever since.
