Ah, this is an interesting distinction. I somehow thought that "default appearance manager" meant there were other appearance managers, one for each supported OS, and that one could/should be able to add ones and customize existing ones.
Well, good to know I wasn't overlooking some secret stack hidden somewhere. I did vote for Bugzilla #2383: http://support.runrev.com/bugdatabase/show_bug.cgi?id=2383 Though it's not a "bug" so it won't make it in to 2.7.5... There is also an existing Bugzilla, #1357, about Linux LookAndFeel, but it's marked as closed somehow. Either a new bug needs to be added or this one is not really closed/resolved.
