Yes, definitely sounds like you've broken something. I'd go for a completely new install of Rev into a different location - I understand you've hacked quite a bit of Rev so you can have one hacked version and one clean version:-)
Then do another install of Galaxy, but this time point it to the new clean version of Rev.
