I just tested this out, and it appears that putting extensions in this folder, or the "My Revolution <edition>" folder, does not result in the stack binding to the external... unless of course you reference it directly.

You're right. The downloads have changed since I last looked at them; sorry. I haven't been able to get it to run at all on OS X, to be honest. I need to find out more.

The last download I did had no "launcher" stack, only the individual pieces. I should have checked before posting.
