Thanks -- you guys have been a great help. Richard, yes in xCode you can choose not to include a "Preferences" item so you are correct in your assertion that this is a Rev engine issue.

Have any of you perhaps developed a nice "hand" cursor thats a full hand and not just one pointer finger as in the Rev default cursor? I drew what I think is a nice black and white one but can't seem to get Revolution to render it correctly.

I've found that renaming "Edit" makes the "Preferences" item disabled, but I haven't found a way to get rid of it altogether.

I haven't delved into this in XCode, but my hunch is that Apple provides a way to write applications that don't have a "Preferences" item, no?

I've since discovered that Apple's Stickies doesn't include a "Preferences" item, so this looks like the work of the engine.
