Hi all,

One of the other lists to which I subscribe had the following hint that you may find useful in OSX.

I'm just wondering if everyone else is aware of something I find very handy. When an app hangs, you can usually force quit by clicking and holding its icon in the dock... A menu will pop up offering "Force quit," and choosing it will do so without asking for confirmation or leaving behind a window you must dismiss. I find it much more convenient than cmd-opt-esc.

Also, the cmd-opt-esc may not apply to Rev; I've never tried either one. My thanks to Jay Reeve for his insight.

Cheers,

Joe Wilkins

Hi all,

Back at the beginning of the new millennium I wrote an article entitled "Blue Beard and Captain Kidd" for the original Macinstruct.com. Following a similar theme with an article this past week on the Runtime Revolution Newsletter, I was prompted to reprint my earlier effort. It should be recommended reading to all who write and use software on any platform.
