Somebody mentioned an issue with image flipping on the list but I cannot find a report in quality center. I have a little demo stack ready to upload there. A search on flip doesn't return any appropriate entry.

If there is one, let me know, otherwise, I will enter one.

The problem is: when flipping images that contain graded alpha values (typically a png image), the image is reduced to one with categorical alpha (either fully transparent either fully opaque). A second issue is that on first flipping, a small dashed border may appear. 2.8, build 360, MacOSX.

Hello Marielle,

I reported bug: <http://quality.runrev.com/qacenter/show_bug.cgi? id=4499> Its main focus was on a crash. It does mention the strange grey dots, but may not get proper notice. I think your post is important to get their attention on that bug. I have seen the grey dotted line thing on both Macs and Win systems. I have also seen that when flipping 10 images that have a resolution of 1800 x 1200 and displaying/hiding them quickly, Rev 2.8 gm3 crashes. I am working on a full recipe for this.
