Ok, I wasn't planning on changing what I have now, just curious!
To be honest I got such a speed boost my using an external command
that I think I'll use it from now on. The only draw-back is that its
Mac only at present, guess I could check the OS and if Windows use
RunRev - That way the Mac would be faster <big grin> (Not that it
isn't anyway!!!)

I'm not sure, I guess you'd have to try it. If it doesn't work as-
is, try seeking in 2-gig chunks to move the pointer forward in
increments until you get close to the place you need to read. Or
use the work-around you've already made until 2.9 comes out.
