Jeff- I can verify that 2.6.1 and OSX 10.2.8 cooperate fully. It's been a little while since I've used a rev version that old, but I used that combination before 2.7 got stable and still have it installed as a backup. For the record, 2.7.4 and 10.2.8 also play well together.
