Not really unless you write your own tool to put stdin on the pasteboard and execute a named service. Not that difficult to write.

I have no idea if that helps you ;-) but that was his advice. Interesting guy and smart as they come. Changes country every two years or so - next stop might be New Zealand, he now thinks, as he is very interested in sailing and thinks that there is great sailing there.

Any New Zealanders on the list have a sailboat??
