The same can't be said for Windows.
You might like to check for the quicktime version. Quicktime on Windows is prone to the vagaries of Windows updates. From Win 2K to XP these seem to alternately break QT. Make sure the Windows box is using the very latest QT version from Apple and if not get them to download it.
