I'm a little lost in this thread - isn't this what i posted earlier - ie:

To make the syntax easier I create a small suite of handlers so that i can
use something like:

set the model_IndexLine ["3,cMyCustomProp"] of stack "myStack" to myLine


which I often abbreviate to:

set the model_IndexLine [3] of stack "myStack" to myLine

It is in the current docs - at least for 'setprop"....

Now this is why I posted my original question, I was expecting someone to
come back with some command I wasn't aware of, or special syntax, or
undocumented feature on how to set a chunk of a custom prop. Unfortunately
they didn't, but this looks pretty cool. Now all I have to do is figure
out
how I can take advantage of this ;-)
