Not tested but should work (in the script of the 'Paste' button) :
on mouseUp
if clipBoardData["text"] <> empty then
lock screen
select text of fld 2
paste
set the textFont of char 1 to -1 of fld 2 to empty
unlock screen
end if

and more surprising, the textSize is 12 (the textSize expected,
those of field 2).
What am I doing wrong ?
By the way, is it possible to change Font, size, style etc. of text
in the clipBoard ?
