When testing with and without Quicktime on Windows, playing .mid files in a player, I was unable to really test without any QT features by setting dontUseQT. Instead, I had to actually uninstall it!
With no QT, players don't loop automatically (at least with .mid files, haven't tested others), and the player volume can't be set using playLoudness. With QT installed, it seems these features are available even with dontUseQT, if I made no mistake. I'm wondering if anyone knows a good way for true QT/non-QT testing of all features short of un/install, and also if I should bugzilla this or not.
