Flip Books

Can flip books be implemented in the 1.0 version of Revolution?  I have a
series of two state flip books I would like to use.  These are currently in
a single image file format with alpha channel.

If this cannot be done readily yet, how are most people creating good
looking and smoothly functioning buttons?
