I've been burnt a number of times myself on things like this, so I
definitely share your concern.

One of the things that has me so enthused about Rev is that it's built on
one of the longest-living commercial 4GLs ever, MetaCard.  Given Rev's
management and business model, I would expect them to do at least as well as
MetaCard Corp. itself.  But even in the worst case scenario, given what I've
seen from MetaCard Corp. the file format and language appear very likely to
continue a long and growing life.  Kevin Miller and Scott Raney make a
tremendous team.
