I am trying without success to understand and use the
appleEvent-related commands of Revolution. Has anyone made them work?
I want to be able to get information from Eudora and then act on
message attachments in the appropriate applications. I have a
fully-functional prototype working with the FaceSpan demo but would
like to do it with Revolution for reasons that will be obvious to
anyone who has worked in both. However, I am not sure that I can make
any of the appropriate commands work properly in Revolution. For
example, when I use this exact example of "request" from the
Transcript dictionary
request the hilite of button 3 from application "HyperCard"
the return in "it" is the hilite of button 3 of my Revolution stack,
not the (running) HyperCard Home stack! What is the point of being
able to ask HyperCard about the Revolution button?
I'm very confused and frustrated. I think I need a cookbook example
of sending and getting information by AppleEvents and Applescript
(which I have tried with equal success in Rev 1.1a).
