Hello Geoff: [The solution] took about two hours to write. That's pretty inefficient from a lines/hour standpoint, but I don't know if I could have written a more verbose version in less time. A fair portion of the time was just trying to figure out what the right thing to do with days at the beginning and end of years was. You are too modest.
