You can set the layer of objects directly, instead of using Send to Back. One big difference between HyperCard and Revolution (forgive me if I'm incorrectly assuming you come from a HyperCard background) is that Revolution is not designed in particular to have its interface "driven" the way it so often is in HyperCard. Many of the commands are there for compatibility, but I don't know of any case where there isn't an equivalent that does the job directly without requiring Revolution's runtime environment. regards, Geoff
