I was astonished in the previous digest (discussing the issue of Rev
documentation) that no mention was made of what to me is the finest
computer language book I have seen for any language and that is
"HyperTalk 2.x The Book," by Dan Winkler, Scot Kamins, and (in the
second edition) Jeanne DeVoto.

It must have been a labor of love. It is not just the careful
description of the HyperTalk vocabulary that makes this book so
valuable, but the wide range of *meaningful* examples of each and
every scripting word. It is as much a programming textbook as a
vocabulary dictionary. And, like the best textbooks, it teaches with
examples. Without this book HyperCard would have not been meaningful
to me.

I could think of no better contribution to Revolution than applying
the same philosophy to: "Transcript The Book," by Jeanne DeVoto, et.
al.

However, due to the extensive expansion of the language in MC and
Rev, this would now be a monumental task.
