If there is going to be a book, may I suggest you create a web site, one page per language element, and collect example scripts and explanations. Let us help with the project. You edit and find the holes and find people to fill in the holes.
Extra suggestion, contact the publishers of the HyperTalk book and see if you can license the content to be modified for Transcript. They get use of an old property and you get the majority of your book already written. Plus, you might get them to publish it. Kee Nethery
