Our team's looking into adopting Avro for some of our service specs. We'd really like to have some Python codegen, just for the sake of linting and IDE autocompletion and things like that. We're looking at avro-gen for this, but we're a little concerned about its maturity/about whether we can expect it to be supported going forward.
