Upgrading from 3.11.x to 4.1.x is supported, yes. As the documentation you 
reference mentions, it is not possible to downgrade from 4.x to 3.x.

Note that running repair during upgrades is not supported; please ensure it is 
disabled before beginning the upgrade and re-enable after.
