Hi all !
I'm pretty new to SCA / Tuscany and my aim is to understand, before use, the SCA
overall architecture and the Tuscany implementation.
This leads my to think about what can or cannot be inside an SCA component. For
instance I understand that a component may contains the implementation of a
business component, a BPEL process, but I'm questionning about the presence of
User Interface inside the Service layer (see user facing service of store
example). I refer to the powerpoint document "Flexible Agile Composition"
published by the OASIS (available from google), on which a schema in slide 7
make a clear distinction between User Interface, Service plateform (SCA) and
Backend Systems.
So my question is:
Does (new and not legacy) service consumers only, such as UI or batch processes,
belonging to the same SOA application, have a place inside SCA / Tuscany ? It
would mean that a User Interface as well as a batch process are components in
SCA model.
Is it clearly defined or an open question subject to debate ? I'd like to have
points of view of Tuscany users and/or contributors.
Thanks for any clarification on this subject !
Erwan
