Have you tried specifing the path to the dao.config file you want to
use:
string pathToDaoFile = GetPathToDaoFile();
log.Debug("Preparing to configure DaoManager: [" + pathToDaoFile +
"]);
DomDaoManagerBuilder builder = new DomDaoManagerBuilder();
builder.Configure(GetPathToDaoFile());
daoManager = DaoManager.GetInstance("SqlMapDao");
