I think most of us agree that sometimes you need a data mapper (like iBATIS) and sometimes you need a ORM (like Hibernate).
I notice that the Cayenne ORM is under the Apache License. * http://www.objectstyle.org/cayenne/ Has anyone had any experience using Cayenne that they would be able to share? Can anyone suggest any other ORMs that are under an Apache-compatible license? -Ted.
