How do I handle large data.

I wish to use IBatis for my project. Can someone please enlighten me about its pros and cons compared with Torque/ Hibernate?   Specifically, I wish to know how IBatis handles large amount of data. Does it create objects for all the records received and then return me in a list ( :O ) or is there a different way of working with it.   Regards, Rob
