Connections will be closed when application/ibatis I shutting down, otherwise close method just returns the connection to connection pool.

Hi

 

I am researching on using iBatis 2.1.7 in our project.  I am an Oracle DBA and a Java Developer. I am using

 

iBatis DAO

   SQLMAP Transaction Manager

   SqlMapDaoTemplate.

 

I tried some sample programs.  I noticed all the database connection not getting closed.  Is there anything in particular I should look at or include in the code?

 

Could you tell in general, How / When database connection is getting closed in iBatis?
