My only NetBSD-current systems are Suns, so I can't say anything
about whether that works. My other system I run Realsoft3D on is
an SGI Octane, but that's somewhat lagged version-wise. The user
base is very small.
Good luck figuring it out.
Maybe installing 2.0 (or the upcoming 2.1) on a production machine
sounds like a good idea.
