Hi Arjo : Well , I mentioned that process here recently and on the forum . Yes , it works, but is a bit backwards . If it were a simple case of - "move a sphere or a cone against a mesh to deform that mesh" then it would be very good , for the time being , anyway . Right now in V5.1 it's "move mesh against sphere/cone etc" . It works of course , but is not as intuative as vice-versa . Anyway , Vesa has responded in the forum thread that he agrees that easy to use "artistic" tools without a lot of clicking are nice to have . http://www.3ddart.org/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=692 Maybe in V6 we will see a few of our requests from that huge V6 wish-list thread in the forum too . Myself , I would love to see a good old fashioned "magnetism tool" with 2 "sphere of influence" radius , as well as an automatic smoothing option and settings . I've done a tiny bit of experiments with metaball modeling and it was actually fun , for a change . I think you would be one of the first to agree that one of the key ingredients to artistic creation is "ease of use" . Once you put on that "technical exp- erts" hat in an effort to do something , the artistic drive be- gins to run away in the other direction ... Kind of a 'right brain/left brain' thing . People who work in more traditional mediums get to just ... create ! Us ... we have to figure out which 10 buttons to push with which 5 levers , and in which order , and when button 7 doesn't work , how do we make button 36 and lever 79 do sort'a the same kind of thing ... and yet still maintain and expand our creative freeflowing focus . studio www.niagara.com/~studio www.studiodynamics.net
