Hi

Yes, I tried it about a year ago actually trying to get some work done with it :-) What we tried to achieve was a walkabout mode for a certain part of a processing plant -- at the time mostly to see if it could be done. Even though we ended up taking out everything except most piping, equipment, and main steel, it was still not good enough for that kind of use.

It is good for small models, and you can even animate and preset cameras. Quite good for this though. I think IKEA should have a go at it :-)

For our job though, we ended up with Walkinside as the best solution for a lot heavier model. Quite good, even when model is not optimized. Interface is quite Doom'ish and 90'ish though :-) But freaking expensive :-(

Subject: 3D pdf Reader

Hi List,

Has anyone checked out the Adobe Acrobat 3D? Reportedly able to create pdfs from 3D files that anyone with Acrobat Reader can open and rotate etc. Pricey though.
