Great Caesar's Ghost - I just flew through a wall. I don't think it's that small - but I'm from a desert village, not the Greater Dutch Megalopolis. Also I understand how much work must have gone into it already. It does look out of context with it's surroundings, however. You could fix that with some more urban planning at the fringes :-) But the flying might make it too much like a computer game.

Ohh I just walked through some stairs. Is that supposed to happen? Would like to walk faster too - but that's probably because there is nothing much to look at in closeup yet. Great work!

Hi George,

I tried flying, and it works a bit like giving away the magic. Like looking
behind a filmset. So for regular people I leave it to "walk". As this gives
the best "city like" feeling. When you fly above it you'll see that it's
actually rather small.

Well that's what I think.

But as this is a special technical club, I made a special version..... ;)

I'm not sure what I will do with the VRML version later on. At first this
city was designed to play a role in my paintings. But it grew too complex to
handle. It became quite impossible to find new points of view because of
waiting times for redrawing. So I decided to create a simple version to set
up viewpoints and lighting. Then I thought it might be nice for people to
walk around it. Especially those people who bought my paintings or other
visitors of my shows.

Arjo.

Very cool. I wanted to fly too - don't see the reason to stay on the
ground, but I don't know what you want to do with this. Will it do
stuff eventually?
