Hi thought about telling how to render 16/9 using all the pixels of a DVD.

To do this you need a to render in 720*480 NTSC or 720*576 Pal.
The tricky thing here is that you need a rendering ration of 0.667 NTSC or
0.8 Pal, but a camera ration of 0.563 ->>> This will produce an streched
image.

That way, when your DVD resize it with "LetterBox" or when your HDTV Strech
the image back to 16*9 then the image will appear correctly.

There is no point knowing that anymore. Because the technology has already
changed.

Hi,

Just thought I would add a little bit here as it seems some people may
not realize why there are seperate settings for the view and camera in
the render settings etc, basically this allows you to enter the size and
aspect of the virtual camera in the camera/view window settings and then
in the render settings you are entering values for the 'recorder'
seperating like this allows you to render to anamorphic formats , you
take the 16:9 image of the camera and squeeze it horizontally to fit
into a 4:3 frame in the rendered image and then it will be de-compressed
when viewed on a 16:9 monitor (as is the case for pal plus 16:9 and some
other formats)
I hope this makes sense I am just typing quickly while on my way out
the door.

rgds,

Andrew
