Hi Jean-Sebastien..

I agree that its good to show where things originate from..

well this isnt a shortcut as such, and in that case you cant use any easier ways of doing things, being afraid of the Meskanen brothers taken out this and that feature..

What I try to avoid in my tuts or tips on the list, is to use many of my Custom shortcuts and workflows(which I have a ton of.), IF I dont offer them or also shows how they can be setup...
I also try at times to offer more than one way of doing things, I also try to explain most things, not only tell do this and that, but why...(to bring an understanding and not mechanicly follow a Step program with instructions...)

In this case with how you apply 'Input' could be invalid later, if the whole or part of the Anim System would be changed.. (I dont say it will)
(But it has happened before..like a whole tab in 'Chor' win is gone..)

btw, indeed things changes...some features are not there that was there before,
for example, you could before, drag and drop a Chor from the 'Chor' Window onto selected object(s)
This fast and nice one is gone..=(..
So any feature or shortcut can be remove...

What I meant to say
It really isnt doing any harm to both show the "Safe" way (that cant be seen as safe, since anything can be removed or added) , and also mention a tips of a "fast" and intuitive way...(some may still use the "Safe" way, since we all are different, but at times its good to show more than one way..

btw2
RS is in itself a good example, since it has so many ways doing things, so different users can almost always find a way of doing things as suits them perfectly..! =)

Yep using instances for such as the Claw or other works nicely, at least when the should be animating completely the same..
But when needing to customize the anim stuff of each of them, then you cant..
Doing the copy thing I mentioned, then one have the basic anim for all needed parts, after that you can customize each, either manually or with some 'Noise' Chors or such..

Finally just wanted to say again that I appreciate all your efforts on your nice tuts..!
and I hope many will have much help and get inspiration from them..
Also that some share some images/anims/prjs and so on later on when they have made something, using any tuts..
(btw this includes me as well, I have many times felt bad, of not making any images/anims.. to show what can be done from the inspirations of reading/follow a tut..)

That about the RS-Wiki you have to take in a separate post,.. to those that handle it..so they see it..

Hi Jean-Sebastien..

Thx again for the MiniTuts..!

A little tip on this last one, you can directly just drag n drop the wanted 'Input' object, from the 'Select' Window, onto the Chor you want to have it as input..!
The Chor in question doesnt either have to be selected prior to it..!
This way is a fast way of doing it.

Hopefullly V6 will allow you to Save Chors, with its 'Input' intact..!
Then you can multiselect objects, and Load such 'Object Input' Chor in one go..

btw, if I want to make a grip with several claws, I now do one that has a 'Object Input' Chor for it, animate it, then copy this ready Claw, move it in place, rotate it and so on...
Then I have a GripClaw with several claws, controlled by a single object or channel of an object..!
This is one of many things I have had in mind for many of my since many years thought of tuts.. which havent yet materialized, due to my lifesituation, which dont ever seems to bah... get any brighter..well well time will tell..

Your preview of the "Industrial Chaos" shows that it will be nice and good for getting inspiration !
and as -websmythe pointed out, the music was very nice and I thought it had a cool mood to it.. I loved it..!
I will look forward to it..

Good news, I did the last tutorial on my website yesterday.
There won't be any other tutorials soon from me.

This is the last, it is very useful for controlling complex animation
http://www.neuroworld.ws/tutorials/jsp_tutorial_multichoregraphy_control/jsp_tutorial_multichoregraphy_control.htm

This is a preview of "Industrial Chaos" 6meg
http://www.neuroworld.ws/temp/jsp_industrial_chaos_preview_low.mov

The final version will be released in less than 3 weeks.
Will contain 350 pictures of mechanic, rust, dust, electric... chaos
30 minutes, music by "Global Communication" and "Boards of Canada"
more or less 50meg.
This video can be used for reference and inspiration and maybe fun to watch.

This video will not be public only to the people who will personally ask me.
I will send them the link to their personal e-mail.

Anyone interested? Send me an e-mail at : [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Hi Beg-inner,

I knew about the drag and drop over the "chor", I try not to use shortcuts in tutorials, because it's important to know where the function comes from.
Also if one day, they remove this shortcut, the tutorial is still valid.

How many times I have seen a tutorial with so many keyboard shortcuts, I don't understand what they are doing or the name of the function.

Your "Claw" thing would make a good tutorial.

My favorite technique for closing a claw, or rotating wheels is to mirror an instance the other side, so when I rotate one, the other rotate the oposite side.

A last question, How do I put my tutorials links on RSWiki?
