Hi Stef :

OK . I think this is a good time to bring up the very
cool "Real Time" option on the "Animation" setings panel
(I'm sure you know how it works Stef)

For those that don't , if you check the "Real Time" box
then the animation will play at whatever speed you have
set it to , including 100 frames per second if you have
set that speed in the "Custom" FPS drop-down control .

This can be very handy when doing animations and you
want to have an anim look a certain way , maybe in low
gravity space situations , or if you are trying to nail
a very realistic "earth" animation .

To do so , check the "Real Time" box & run your anim-
ation at a specific frame rate (say 24 fps PAL) and see
how it looks . If it looks too fast , then go into the
FPS pulldown control and select 'Custom' and set it for
say , 18 fps and run it again .

If the anim now looks good , that will mean you will
have to adjust your choregraphies by 18/24 or 75%
(approximately) , or if you're doing sims , reduce your
gravity & maybe your rebound energy by around 25% .

This is just a rough example but I think it makes a
little sense (should really do a tutorial on it) and
is much faster than just trying to "hunt & peck" or
"hit & miss" your way to the perfect frame rate solution .

Thanks , I'll save your mail for future reference .
