Hi,
You know those rubber connectors with sticks that you can use to build
structures with multiple connections to a single flexible hub ... that's what I
want to build with Chrono's actuators distributed in the structure to make a
robot that dances.

The hub (which may accommodate as many as 8 sticks) should be bendable but not
stretchable. The I don't think the chain links in Chrono will work because
they will not come to a single common point of intersection and the springs
will probably not work for the same reason plus they will stretch. It would be
great if there was a rubber type link in Chrono. I see rubber in the
animation/Physical Properties in RS3D but I don't see any documentation on it
and I'm not sure I can connect rigid sticks to it.

The connections between the sticks and the connectors that I hope will work are
snap/friction fitting but that may be the wrong way to do it ... some kind of
glue would be nice ... maybe Link/Lock in Chrono. The skeletons of RS3D won't
work because loops of skeletons are not possible .... you can't connect a hand
to the hip.

Does anyone have any suggestions on solving any of these problems?

Cheers, Chuck Henry
