Hi Alasdair,At first I didn't get the problem, your file doesn't contain any mappings or materials, then I had a close look at your screenshots... UVsets! Delete the superfluous point in the middle of the roof edge before making the UV sets, I guess it's some kind of wrong topology. In smooth mode, you can see something strange is going on near that point...
