Hi Andre,

RS V6 works very well under Vista 64 bit.
I don't remember any bugs that are specific to 64bit
Only GIF images have problems. But that has to do with a third party library, which isn't 64bit ready yet.
I have 64bit ultimate because I've a dual Opteron system.

What problems do you have?

Arjo.

Hi,

Some of the new functions in V6 like a lot of memory. That's the main reason I switched to Vista 64bit.

I got similar messages working with big plants and their instances. (also 32bit, 2.5 MB ram) The funny thing is, the render often continues anyway but without treetops! Wow, the plant controls are great but pretty complex - a lot of research to be done yet :) A 'forest' of 10000 medium birches was no problem at all, the new instance rendering is incredible! thanks,

    Hi, Andre

Perhaps the large point count reveals a bug in obj import or in
the created geometry (SDS / triset). Please zip and send us the
object, we will fix the bug in SP1. Thanks!
         Best regards,

PS. Any information regarding render crashes you mentioned? Does
it happen only in OpenGL mode or also when the view window draw
mode is set to Windows GDI?
