Hard drive failures are common and sometimes unpredictable ,
so any tool one can use to monitor their drive's health can
be very useful .

Thanks for all those links, I´ll check them out as soon as I work my way
through the new V6 features and tuts.
BTW beware of those crappy cheap modern cables that can lose contact
randomly and ruin the OS!
