Thanks Realsoft! Christmas comes early. Here's some comparison between RS6 and V7. Scene contains three spaceships and planet below which has the normal athmosphere material.
Ubuntu 9.10 64bit and V6 = 24 min 24 sec Win7 64bit and V6 = 24 min 57 sec Win7 64bit with the new version 7 = 17 min 56 sec!!!! So the new V7 linux version might be even faster :)
