Hi Neil
Ok great..
Always nice to be able to help out and that it works.
I am looking forward to see the endresult of your project, the final
animation.
Good luck with it all.

1. Just go into 'Advanced' Mode in that material.
2. For the VSL Texture Object go in the 'Animation' Tab
('Frames' is wrongly set to 30 ! (maybe a little bug, or it missing a
feature to change/update this when you browse and add an anim file to
the
VSL Texture Object !))
3. Set the 'Animation Type' to 'None' or 'Key frame' and then back to
'Automatic'
(Now 'Frames' should show the correct number of your animation file !)
Looks like the one Stefan.
Tried stills but had too much of a story to tell at that point so the avi
is necessary. First test looks like magic!!
Many thanks

Thanks Matt and Stefan
... and all the more for the speed of your help on this!!!
Time is very tight for me on this and will have a look at Stefan's
procedure.
However, thinking now I might maintain the convention within the project
of
having screen within screen work as a sequence of stills in order to help
the viewer. The action is fast and radical so that kind of assistance
seems
like a good idea. The other factor is that stills can easily carry the
additional recognition factor of a procedure I can and have been easily
applying in PhotoPaint/Shop.
Still working round the clock. The first episode is in the can. The
second
is in it's final stages. Found a boolean two surface conflict have to go
back over (thought it was a "paint in boolean" thing) and rework but the
storyline is sorted as of this morning and not much is needed to get to a
"final" cut.
Thanks again!!

Subject: Anims inside Anims
Hi List,
I want an animation avi to play on a rectangle within a scene. I am
using
the textureanim material from the materials library.
The animation wont play beyond the first few frames and then loops
those
if that is selected. The avi is 150 frames, I think the playback in
the
textureanim is the first 25 or so.
Cant find an answer in the manual.
Will probably go back to a series of stills approach to tell that part
of
the story.
