Disabeling NUMLOCK worked fined, but it's annoying.

I think this is a known bug and is actually a limitation imposed by
the motif gui engine. I think they will work if you disable num-lock.
If that is the case, there is a way to make these work along with the
num-lock, it has been covered on the RS wiki:
