In my opinion, DMS is the optimal resource for your purpose.
The only problem is HOW and not WHY store data in DMS on a distributed
architectre such our Magnolia.
Imagine a scenario where a user can also add a new version of the same
file... DMS is "mandatory"!
I know that there can be problems concerning this "HOW", but allways can
be made :-)
