Hi Jarrod,
You need to copy the scripts to /docroot
for backup: run script in browser: appurl/docroot/backup.jsp and click
start button, once is finished you can see a new folder named backup
in webapp.
for restore: copy files you want to restore to webapp/restore, then
run script appurl/docroot/restore.jsp
Instead of using the restore script you could copy the files to web-
inf/bootstrap and the will be imported automatically when you start
your 3.6 instance.

Teresa

Hello Magnolia users,
I'm a relatively new user to Magnolia and I am currently in the
process of upgrading an instance of Magnolia Community Edition 3.5.8
to 3.6.3. The upgrade instructions in the 3.6 release notes point to
http://confluence.magnolia.info/display/WIKI/Backup+and+Restore+JSP+Scripts
,
a page containing three .jsp files to backup and then restore my data
into a fresh 3.6 instance. This is all well and good, but where do I
put these files and how do I use them? The wiki page doesn't actually
say what I'm meant to do after I download these scripts. I also
couldn't find anything in the wiki or mailing list archives about
this.
So, what should I do with these scripts to get my stuff on the latest
version of Magnolia?
Cheers,
Jarrod
