I assume that you have the domain registered and that it points to the folder where your webapps reside. If you rename your magnoliaPublic to ROOT, it will automatically be available via http://<globalIP>:8080. If you use activation in author instance you have to change your activation URL in AdminCentral of author. The baseURL of your public instance needs to be changed too in AdminCentral of public. The third thing is that you have to adapt your repository configuration that magnolia uses the right repo for the instance.
I hope I didn't forget anything :-). I'm quite new to magnolia. cheers Thomas -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, November 14, 2008 2:03 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [magnolia-user] IP mapping We have a website running as http://<gloabalIp>:8080/magnoliaPublic/<homepage> Now we want to map this with our website IP. We want to open it when we say www.ourwebsite.com So, when we say www.ourwebsite.com in browser it should open http://<gloabalIp>:8080/magnoliaPublic/<homepage> without showing any IP. How to do this? Our Magnolia Community version (3.6.3) is running on Linux.
