Hey Sean, while as Ralf mentioned there is no tool in Magnolia that would allow you to see the status of running workflows (since each workflow can look completely differently and supports different attributes/parameters and it would be difficult to provide universal template for displaying the status), you can quite easily develop something for monitoring of your own workflows where you have complete knowledge of what parameters you are interested in. [1] should be enough to get you started on writing your own templates for running workflow monitoring.
