Is that all the info that you've got in your logfiles or was there a
full stacktrace?
I assume that there can be a full stacktrace, but at the moment I can
not doublecheck that.
Anyway, my first guess would be that you've got corrupted node ... would
it be possible that someone killed the server while your import handler
(or something else writing to this workspace) was running.
Or something else happened during import previously and handler didn't
manage to recover properly from the issue.
I think the same: it can be happened that a public instance crashed
while many activations were running.
