I pass the credentials by url ?mgnlUserId=superuser&mgnlUserPSWD=superuser
Then I trap the credential just like the FormLogin does
FormLogin formLogin = new FormLogin ();
formLogin formLogin.handle(request, response);
After that your HierarchyManager comes with the good rights to manipulate the
repository

It can be a good idea but in this case you say to external systems
(maybe also sniffer) superuser pwd!
I managed to solve that with Grégory pointer...
