When I stated to play around with the observation configuration I always
ended up with lots of exception messages about non-existing content and
for instance changing the title of a folder (dms) had no effect at all
although the "eventTypes" setting was set to empty (i.e. all event typs).
I've manage to keep repositories aligned adding several observation
rules. E.g.: data
- one rule for activating folders (type = DataFolder), triggered on
NODE_ADDED
- one rule for activating folders, triggered on PROPERTY_UPDATED
- on rule for deactivating folders, triggered on NODE_REMOVED
same "triple" for every nodeType you need to maintain aligned,
concerning also repository path.
Pay attention: we have encounter issues (looping) using
PROPERTY_UPDATED, because when a node is succesfully activated and
consequentially MetaData are update, the event is fired again, creating
loop.
This only to say that something is possible, maybe with some (a lot) of
improvements.
