This is in Mag 3.6.5, right?
We observed the same behavior. In 3.6.3 moving a page deactivated it. Now in 3.6.5 one gets a deactivation warning, but then it's yellow and we also hat the case where the new order was not reflected on the public instance. I don't have enough "hard facts" to open a JIRA issue yet though.

Hmm, this is confusing. I was going to correct your first statement: "In 3.6.3 moving a page deactivated it." --> afaik, NO. The non- immediate deactivation of a moved page was introduced (fixed, if you asked me) in 3.6. HOWEVER, for some reason, until 3.6.4 (tbh, it's hard to say, this issue bumped around so much that I'd have to dig in the svn history to be sure exactly what version fixed what), there was still the annoying pop-up telling you the page was de-activated (eventhough really, it wasn't)

In 3.6.5, the page should *not* be de-activated (isn't that a GOOD THING? Or do you want a page to disappear immediately from the public instance when you move it in the author?), and should *not* get you the warning popup. Which is why I'm confusing by your email. (it can't just be a cached javascript issue can it?)

Hi all, I don't know if it has been already said, but:

"moving an activated node from JCR Browser (website) doesn't deactivate the activated ones".

E.g.:

AUTHOR INSTANCE
- (A) parent
- (A) child1
- (A) child2
-(A) parent2

PUBLIC INSTANCE
- (A) parent
- (A) child1
- (A) child2
-(A) parent2

moving child1 (A) below parent2 generates a status like this:

AUTHOR INSTANCE
- (A) parent
- (A) child2
-(A) parent2
- (N) child1 *not activated*

PUBLIC INSTANCE
- (A) parent
- (A) child1
- (A) child2
-(A) parent2

So, child1 is not deactivated.

It is normal? It is a bug?
